About

A little about me...

I founded Parvati Health because women’s health deserves proper attention, and you deserve better than being told to cut out gluten by someone on Instagram.

I’m Florence Rowe, an HCPC-registered specialist women’s health dietitian, health scientist and phlebotomist.

I support women through fertility, IVF, pregnancy, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid conditions, IBS and weight management, including nutrition support alongside GLP-1 medications such as Mounjaro and Wegovy.

And yes, men are welcome too. I also help with male fertility, digestive health, and metabolic concerns.

I bring together clinical assessment, relevant blood results and evidence-based nutrition to help you understand what deserves attention and what you can do about it. There’s enough conflicting advice out there already (eye roll).

Appointments in Saffron Walden and Brentwood, Essex, and online.

My Background

My career began in women’s sexual health research, studying cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) alongside international scientists.

I loved the science, but wanted to take it beyond the laboratory and work directly with people. So I trained as a clinical dietitian at University College London (UCL).

I previously worked at Cambridge University Hospitals, The Royal Free (London), and UCL (London), and over the past decade my clinical experience has included:

  • Fertility and preconception care
  • Pregnancy and postnatal nutrition
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Gastrointestinal health and IBS (Monash University low FODMAP trained)
  • Coeliac disease
  • Liver and metabolic health
  • Diabetes
  • Eating disorder management

Alongside my clinical work, I lecture within UCL’s Division of Medicine on menopause, liver disease, fertility, PCOS and endometriosis. I also contribute to developing InTune, a menopause education and support programme with UCL. That work has taken us to the House of Commons, hence the rather proud photograph to the left!

I’m also proud to have received UCL’s Dean’s Award for outstanding academic achievement and the Rising Star award at the Uttlesford Business Awards.

How I Work

I do not provide generic meal plans.

And you probably don’t need another PDF telling you to eat more vegetables.

You need advice that makes sense for your symptoms, your medical history and your actual life.

My experience in eating disorder care also shapes how I support you. We make space to discuss body image, restrictive eating and your relationship with food, particularly when key life changes make these feel more difficult.

I consider your eating patterns, relevant blood results, medications, supplements, movement and sleep. In-clinic body composition testing can also help us assess muscle, body fat and hydration.

Then we agree on practical changes, with clear reasons behind them. If I recommend a supplement, you’ll know why. If something needs your GP’s attention, I’ll communicate that to them and explain why.

For online appointments, we use your clinical history, symptoms and relevant results to guide your care. Body composition testing is optional.

We review progress against what matters to you, whether that’s more comfortable digestion, better nutritional intake, improved strength or feeling more confident around food.

And your support needs to work on a tired Tuesday, when the fridge is looking uninspiring and cooking enthusiasm is at zero.

Working alongside Amy Amy Harris

I work alongside Amy Harris, Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber, for specialist medical menopause support.

Amy has more than 20 years of clinical experience, including intensive care and pain management, alongside advanced menopause training through the British Menopause Society.

She provides medical menopause assessments, HRT advice and prescribing where appropriate.

I provide your dietetic care, while Amy brings her prescribing expertise. Appointments are arranged separately, and we’ll help you understand which support best suits your needs.

From the clinic to the kitchen

I’m working with Cambridge Cookery & Wine School to develop cookery classes focused on fertility and menopause, bringing evidence-based nutrition into the kitchen.

Expect practical recipes, proper explanations and food you’ll actually want to eat. You don’t need another list of “superfoods” .... you need to know what to do with the ingredients!

Outside work, you’ll find me playing the saxophone or walking my Shih Tzu–terrier, Bruno, who remains impressively uninterested in anything I do.

Let's Have a Conversation

We start with a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss what you need, whether I’m the right person to help, and the options and fees before you book an appointment.

Parvati Health

what clients are saying

I first met Florence about 5 months ago when I was in a desperate place health wise due to crippling migraines and out of control menopause symptoms. Long story short she has revolutionised my life by introducing me to which foods would benefit my body and which to avoid. 5 months later and my migraines are in check and my menopause symptoms have subsided and I can once again function and live my life. Florence is the kindest caring health professional you could ever meet. Don’t hesitate to book in if you feel down and out. You WILL feel better!

From start to finish, Parvati were professional and incredibly informative. The knowledge Florence has she shares in the most user friendly way to avoid bombarding or overwhelming you. Florence goes above and beyond to help get to the bottom of life long health issues. Florence has been instrumental in my journey with endometriosis and IBS. I feel empowered to change the trajectory of my life with simple changes she has suggested. I could not recommend them highly enough. Also, great value for money.

I worked with Florrie after a period of significant ill health. She took so much time and care with me to understand my history and my present needs and put a comprehensive plan in place to support me in regaining some energy and nourishing my body as it began to heal. Florrie is kind, patient and thorough and I feel so much positive since starting my journey back to health with her support.

Florence, certainly knows her job. She has really helped me over the last couple of months after having major surgery I was struggling to get back on track.

Florence went through my day-to-day routine to see where I could make changes, but only a couple of changes at a time, so I was never over faced.

I’m feeling so much better now and it’s all thanks to Florence. She always there for support and advice when I'm having a bad day.
